Professer McGonagall was sitting at her desk, writing on a long pice of parchment, waiting for the students to come in. She patiently wrote. She already knew what the detention was going to be. There was a long pice of parchment, one one each desk for each student that had detention, and a quill.

Jay opened the door to the transfiguration classroom just enough to squeeze in and closed it quietly behind her. Even though it was quiet, the sound echoed through out the room and she cringed. She walked to one of the desks, looking at the parchment and quill like they were going to bite her, before glancing at Professor McGonagall. Jay took her seat near one of the closed windows, staring at the parchment like it would tell her where the other two were.

Ali flung the door open, and looked around, and skipped inside the classroom, and shut the door loudly behind her. "Good Evening" she said to noone in particular and walked happily to her desk. 'Great, lines......' she thought, but did not show dislike. She chose the other free desk with a paper on it, which left one left for William. She left the one closer to Jay available, for a reason.

Jay shot a glare in Ali's direction, knowing that she'd chosen the other seat on purpose. 'You love torturing me, don't you!? I'm sticking William with you tomrrow!' she silently swore, actually hoping that Ali would hear her thoughts.
William walked into the class room, taking the last seat. The paper and quill made him feel a little more relaxed, seeing as they were apparently only going to be doing lines. "At least it isn't cleaning out the owlery." was his almost inaudible whisper to neither of his fellow Ravenclaws in particular.

Ali was humming to herself, and bouncing in her seat. She didnt mind doing lines. She figured it be cleaning up from the other days lesson. So she just sat there humming, making sound affects, and bouncing to the humming.
Professer McGonagall ssaid " Silence. I want you to write, The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion."McGonagall said. "And in an hour and thirty minutes, you will be dismissed." she said, going back to writing what she was doing before they came in.
Ali reluctantly stopped humming. She begane writing. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. She switched to her other hand. She had trouble to not hum. She bit her tongue, to keep from laughing.

Jay sighed, dipping her quill in ink and starting at the top of the page. She began writing the lines, thinking of her favorite song while she worked. At least that would pass the time. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion.[/i][/font] She wrote in her small, slightly sloppy hand writing, fighting the urge to hum the song outloud. 'She said, she said, she said "Why don't you just drop dead!?" I don't blame you, for being you, but you can't blame me for hating it. She couldn't help but smile at how much that song seemed to fit at the moment.
William wrote the lines, extremely bored. There was a smart ass comment on how stupid this was on the tip of his tongue, but he ignored it. He smirked when and idea came to mind. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall certainly needs uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. He changed the line only once per 20 lines, making sure to keep them few and far between. He didn't want to make McGonagall that mad.

Ali continued writing. All of a sudden, she just plain out of nowhere went, "BOOM! Dun, dun dun dun. boop ba boop"She said, bursting out in song, then she smacked her hand over her mouth and loocked up. McGonagall was glaring at her, so she went silent and coninued writing.
The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion
She could feel herself turning bright pink, and tried to stop it.
McGonagall just glared, and wwent bacck to writing.

After feeling that it was pointless to change the line any more, William wrote the line as how Professor McGonagall had told them to. He glanced at Ali and snickered quietly, shaking his head. When he saw McGongall shoot a glare in his direction, he bit his tongue and looked back at the paper, still smiling as he worked.
Jay rolled her eyes, not pausing in writing the lines. She had only the front half of the parchment filled, but then again, she had small handwriting. She dipped the quill in the ink again, continuing with the line. 'Are we going up, or just going down? It's just a matter of time until we're all found out. Take our tears, put 'em on ice. 'Cause I swear, I'd burn the city down to show you the lights.' She sighed, wondering why she was thinking of Fall Out Boy songs. She hadn;t listened to one of their CDs since the semester started.
((Sorry, but McGonagall would have glared at him sooner or later.))

(xD taytay)
McGonagall sat there writing, only checking the time every fiteen minutes or so.
Ali kept writing, and was not going to change the lines. McGonagall would take points, no doubt. HOpefully not, because we were in the negatives. She continued writing.
The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion.
The only thing she dared tchange for the fun of it was striking through one 'not' and that was all. She had trouble keeping quiet and still.

Jay glanced at the clock, wondering how much longer they had. Her page was starting to get full, even with two columns of the line. She hadn't changed a single word, and didn't plan on changing anything. She continued, still writing the two columns.
The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. The Great Hall does not need uneccesary commotion. She glanced at the clock. Thankfully, there was only 15 minutes left.
William finished the last of the page and scanned through the finished page. He found each time he'd changed the line, crossed it out, and put was supposed to be there. Ravenclaw didn't need any more house points taken away, so it wasn't worth it. He set his quill down and stared at the clock, wondering just how much longer they had till they could go.

McGOnagall looked at the time. "You are dimissed. I will take those lines."She said, waiting for them to bring the papers up. She knew that she had gone five minutes over, but that would hurt anything.Ali got up right away and handed her paper to the professer. "here ya go, can we leave?" she asked. she really wanted to get out of here, and gop to the common room and see what happened next.
"Yes, Miss. Lane"McGonagall said, waiting for the other papers.
Ali skipped out of the calssroom humming, but waited outside of the door.

Jay got to her feet and handed the paper to Professor McGonagall, shaking her head to try and get all of the songs out of her head. She turned on her heel and stalked out of the classroom, stopping when she saw Ali in the hallway. "Who're you waiting for?" she asked rhetorically, not expecting an answer.
William walked over to McGonagall, set the paper on her desk, and turned to leave. The sooner he got out of the classroom the better. 'I hope I scratched out all of those changed lines.' he thought, seeing both of his friends standing in the classroom. He raised an eyebrow in questioning, leaning against the wall and looking between Ali and Jay and back again.

"Well? Are we going to the common room or what? We cant just sit around in the hallway! Well get caught after curfew. Come on. "She said, waiting for them to start walking. "Shoo shoo!"She said, waving them forward.

William rolled his eyes, pushing himself off the wall and walking back toward the common room. He turned around so he was walking backwards, watching both Jay and Ali as he walked. "Are you two coming or not?" he asked, waving his arms.
Jay gave him a curious look before shaking her head. "I'm staying with Ali. I want to know what that sudden outburst was about." she mumbled before looking at Ali and giving her a look that said 'What did you think you were doing!?'

I was humming in my head, and then the song at that point was irrisitable to not make the sound effects! I twas hard being silent!"she said defensively. She walked off behind William and said "Come on, Jay. 5th years shouldnt be out this late." and she laughed as she said it. "kidding"
