Jay sat curled up in the corner of one of the couches in the common room, a book resting on the arm rest as her violet eyes scanned the page. There was a frown plastered on her face that had been there for days, and it wasn't going to go away any times soon. She swallowed a sigh that she'd been holding for the past five pages, and continued reading. At least she'd be ahead in potions.

Ali slowly walked in. She wasnt sure if she would be blamed for what ahppened, so she made no sudden movements, trying to be careful. She walked and sat in a chair across from jay, and smiled weakley, although sure that it would not be ruturned. She waiting for her to say something, because she was not going to be the first to say anything.

William walked into the common room from the boys dormatory, glad to be able to sleep in for once, seeing as how there were no classes today. He looked around, smiling for no particular reason, and saw Ali carefully walking over to sit next to Jay. He walked over and sat next to Jay, looking between her and Ali, a curious gleam in his eye. "So... why are you scared of a fifth year?" he asked, looking at Ali. Without waiting for an answer he turned to Jay and poked her in the shoulder. "And why are you so pissed lately?"
Jay didn't bother to look up from her book when Ali sat down, though she knew that she had. She scowled when William sat down next to her, and ignored him when he poked her in the shoulder, also ignoring his question. She wanted to be left alone, and almost everyone else in Ravenclaw had realized that. Apparently he hadn't.

Ali refused to let her eyes widen in disbilief at him just saying that. She looked at him, the shrugged, not wanting to answer, knowing that nobody ever waited for an answer in this house. She sat there, not saying a word, and watching the two, just waiting for the moment Jay would explode.

"What? Does no one in this House answer questions? Or are you both just deaf?" William asked, looking back at Ali and giving her a disbelieving look. He looked back to Jay, noticing the book on the arm rest. "Jay," He leaned over her and quickly snatched the book away, tossing it over to Ali before Jay had the chance to steal it back. "Why are you so pissed lately?" he tried again.
Jay looked at the now empty arm rest, her eyes narrowing. She turned her head to look at William out of the corner of her eye, meeting his topaz eyes. "Because I just am. Now give me my book back." she snarled, glaring at him.

Ali sighed, not even wanting to catch the book. It reminded her of quidditch, and how she had lost her temper horribly about it. Why, oh why, couldnt she have controlled hersefl!? Oh well, it wasnt her fault that the team was doing foolish things, but still, she could have stopped. "Because I want to"Ali mumbled, not caring if he heard or not. She nudged the book across the table to Jay, not even wanting to hand it to her. " I mean, come on Jay, who needs a gryffindor freak anyway?" Ali blurted out, only wishing she hadnt.

Jay closed her eyes for a second, Ali's words ringing in her ears. She opened her eyes, taking her book back and opening to the page she'd been on. "Happy now, William?" she asked sarcastically, going back to reading.
WIlliam looked at the table in front of him, suddenly understanding what she ment. "So, lucky guess: You're upset because Potter broke up with you, and you're scared because you think you're the one that caused it." He looked between Jay and Ali when he spoke to them, crossing his arms and leaning back against the couch, looking at the cieling. "God, you girls hold grudges!" he muttered under his breath.

This was the Last.Straw. Ali breathed deeply. No. She wouldnt not lose her temper with this boy, then again, she was about to, she felt like a volcano about to erupt. "Well, Its not my fault, and I have nothing to hold a damn grudge about, Willima."Ali said through clenched teath. Arg.

William took a deep breath, held it for a few seconds, and then let it out. "Technically.. you're holding a grudge with yourself because you feel that you caused this entire thing." he pointed out, shutting up now to let her temper die down. He could tell that both girls were about to explode and get mad at them.
Jay kept reading, only minutely listening to William. She smirked slightly as he explained that technically she did have a grudge. She nodded slightly, not wanting to be pestered anymore for not answering. "Yes, I'm upset. Got a problem with it?" she challenged.

"Well, if you two are going to sit here and interupt the silence, arguing like an old married couple, im gunna leave" Ali said, getting frustrated. She was going top practice quidditch anyways. By herself.

"A married couple? What are you talking about?" William asked, snapping his head forward to look at Ali as she got up to leave. His neck now hurt from the sudden movement, but he didn't really care. He felt his ears burning scarlet, and he tried not to show it. He knew he was failing miserably.
Jay looked at Ali with a blank expression before shaking her head. "You can stay here. I need to go get something from my dormatory anyways." She got to her feet, her index finger holding her place in the book as she walked back upstairs. She'd needed another book anyways. She only had another short chapter in this book.

"Woooo, William, is someones ears turning red? Is that blushing!?Why is it that annoying people blush so easily" Ali msued, not really talking to him. She sat back down, not looking at him, he was annoying with all these questions, and she didnt want to rouse another one. She sat there, looking blankly to his right.

"If you were accused of being married to Harry Potter's last girlfriend, you'd be embarressed, too." William mumbled, cooling down slightly. He stared at the table in front of him, his eyes narrowing in thought. "Sorry to ask another question, but why are scared of Jay? I understand the reason, but I mean, she's not that big, and probably not that strong. You're at least half a foot taller than her for crying out loud!" he said, still not looking up from the table.

"Because,technically, if I had kept my big mouth shut, and not yelled at her and Harry, Harry wouldnt have said that to her, so Im afraid of her feelings."Ali said. "feelings and emotions can be much worse than physical pain" Ali said, plaing the the string on her pants leg. Why was this boy asking so many questions!? And why the hell was she answering them!?

William smirked, thinking what she was. He sat back and turned his attention to the fire, nodding slighty to acknowledge that he'd heard her explaination. "That's understandable." he mumbled, narrowing his eyes in thought for a moment.
